DOUGLAS BLACK HEATON is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, music editor and producer writing music for TV, film, advertising and games.

His latest work includes BBC studio's NADIYA'S BRITISH FOOD ADVENTURE with Nadiya Hussein, the Kate Humble fronted CHINESE NEW YEAR: THE BIGGEST CELEBRATION ON EARTH for BBC2, and the feature length historical documentaries HIROSHIMA - THE REAL STORY for NHK/Arte/BBC WW (and narrated by John Sessions) and CONFUCIUS for CCTV/Arte.

Douglas has also scored more than 150 episodes of ANGRY BIRDS TOONS, PIGGY TALES and ANGRY BIRDS BLUES, all hugely successful internationally distributed animation series, as well as providing music for the phenomenally popular ANGRY BIRDS SEASONS game.

Other notable TV composition work includes Channel 4's  SCANDIMANIA, from River Cottage’s Hugh-Fearnley Whittingstall, BBC2's WORLD'S GREATEST FOOD MARKETS, and DAMBUSTERS' GREAT ESCAPE (narrated by by Dominic West) and TREASURES OF THE JADE EMPIRE (narrated by Paul McGann), both for Channel 4.

Douglas has contributed music to a variety of different advertisements and promotional campaigns for ROVIO including ANGRY BIRDS tie ups with STAR WARS, LEGO, TRANSFORMERS and SHAKIRA, as well as scoring promos for JOHN LEWIS, L'OREAL and NOKIA.

His guitar playing can be heard in Sony's ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE, where he accompanies Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Jason Sudeikis and Danny McBride singing the "Mighty Eagle Song".

Douglas is part of the Accorder Music family of composers.  He is also a tutor at Thinkspace Education, an online film scoring school run by Guy Michelmore.
